What is CBD?
CBD is cannabidiol, a compound found naturally in hemp plants. Unlike THC (the active cannabinoid in marijuana), CBD is not intoxicating which means it will not get you high. CBD interacts with a series of receptors in your body known as the Endocannabinoid (ECS). The ECS relates to a number of important systems in your body and helps keep your internal rhythms in balance.
What is the Endocannabinoid System?
The Endocannabinoid (ECS) is a group of receptors in your brain and nervous system. These receptors work with cannabinoids made by your body, and those made by plants such as CBD. The ECS helps keep your body’s internal systems regulated and in balance.
Will CBD get me high?
No. CBD is not intoxicating.
Is there THC in your products?
CBD is extracted from industrial hemp, which legally can only have up to 0.3% THC. Organically Connected sells products with 0% THC, as well as Full Spectrum CBD Oil which contains less than 0.3% THC.
What is the difference between Hemp and Marijuana plant?
The defining difference between marijuana and hemp is the percentage of THC. They are both types of cannabis plants, but industrial hemp is a plant with less than 0.3% THC by dry weight while marijuana has far more than that. CBD derived from industrial hemp which is used by Organically Connected, is legal at the federal level. Marijuana remains illegal at the federal level.
Is your? Are your topical hemp based?
Yes, our topicals are made with oil from Hemp.
What are terpenes?
Terpenes are aromatic compounds found naturally in fruits, flowers and herbs. In hemp plants, terpenes and CBD coexist. Research indicates that a natural profile of terpenes may enhance the body’s ability to process CBD.
Do you make your own products?
Yes, Organically Connected has a farm in Oregon where our Hemp Flower is grown. We extract the CBD oil from the plant in our lab, and make the products we sell.
